Lumber on the Britton Line
CPR
Lumber destined for the Britton Line may be shipped via CPR or BNSF. Lumber that includes CPR in the route is delivered to DMVW at Hankinson, ND, for furtherance to Britton. DMVW does not show in the route and CPR absorbs DMVW’s portion of the rate.
BNSF
Lumber that includes BNSF in the route is delivered to DMVW at Aberdeen, SD, and is routed BNSF-Aberdeen, SD-DMVW. DMVW’s portion of the rate is billed to the customer. Shippers should check with BNSF lumber marketing personnel to determine if BNSF absorbs a portion of DMVW’s rate.
